In this program, students develop understanding and attitude towards the world around them. They extend their understanding of different aspects of human society, starting with themselves and others within their own community as well as groups of people that are distant in time and place. Through exploring how social scientists pose questions and conduct research, they build the necessary skills that allow them to inquire, analyze, and research critically and sensitively into the historical, geographical, political, social, economic, cultural, and technological factors that affect individuals, groups, and societies and their environments. Students also learn to appreciate critically the diversity of human culture, attitudes, and beliefs. We made a timeline about the Japan's journey starting from before WWII and after that. We talked about what they lost, what they earned, and who were they attacking and what certain places did they bomb/attack. through this learning process I've developed my researching because we really needed to research about a lot of stuff.
