English Vision Board: A Timeline
To emphasize how much they have nurtured the intelligent and communicative dimension, Year 1 students in Cikal Lebak Bulus have created their vision in a timeline of what they strive to be when they grow up. This activity focuses on some learning objectives such as using visual text to enrich storytelling and presentations and to organize and represent information, reading words and sentence with increasing fluency, understanding sound-symbol relationships and apply reliable phonetic strategies when decoding print, writing a text showing clear ideas and logical organization include a range of suitable vocabulary and arrange flow of sentences, demonstrating an increased understanding of how grammar works, using a range of vocabulary in different situations, and using language for a variety of personal purposes (to explain, to inquire, to compare).
