Platinum Gold Alloy

Before I can tell you what a Platinum Gold alloy is I need to explain what an alloy is first. An alloy is when different metals react with each other then combine. So it is a metal made by combining two or more metallic elements, especially to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.
Platinum and Gold are usually never found in alloys because they don’t react with the things around them. When finding them they are a pure metal and not an alloy. So if that is the case how and why was it made. It is 90% Platinum and 10% Gold and the way they make it is by putting the atoms/molecules together. This may seem tricky but with the scientific equipment we have today this isn't really that hard. The reason it is made is because it can handle hot and cold temperatures like no other metals. It is stable at temperatures (~500°C) and can reduce manufacturing in the equipment it is put in. It is used for spinning jets in the viscose rayon industry. When you look at an airplane and see those long wings and the blades that spin in the tubes underneath it you are looking at Platinum Gold alloy in those tubes. Those blades move so fast that they get really hot but at the same time are up high in the sky so they handle all different amounts of temperature change. Not every metal can handle that so that's why they use a metal as strong as Platinum Gold alloy so they can use these big machines without failure.
Some disadvantages of this new really strong metal is that it is expensive. Gold and Platinum already cost a lot of money. So making an alloy of the two will be expensive. If needed it can be hard to destroy. It can handle crazy temperatures and is one of the toughest alloys out there. I’m not saying it will be impossible but it will be a hard process that can be expensive and dangerous.
For the most part it is really useful and is said to be 100 times stronger than steel. It is also supposed to be the most recent metal in the world.There are a few disadvantages to this metal but there is a lot more good then bad. Platinum Gold alloy has definitely changed the world in a better way and with it we can create and use equipment that could have been too dangerous to use in the past.
