Silver Arm

Silver arm is a robotic mechanical arm that was designed by David Silver in 1994 who is a professor of computer science at MIT. The arm was designed to make small intricate movements. The robot is said to be able to imitate movements so precise that they are like human fingers. The robot can achieve these movements through the use of sensitive touch and pressure sensors. It can be used to make things like jewelry and pens. It is a true robot because it contains a body which is shaped in the structure of an arm. It also has a brain which receives information and sensors that sense pressure and contact. It contains actuators that can create very precise movements to create motions that humans are capable of. The robot is programmed to react to the information received from the sensors and is capable of doing a variety of tasks.
