The P2 is a humanoid robot. This robot is about the same size as an average human being this robot has the ability to walk around like a normal person. They also have the ability to go up and down stairs. In 1996 the P2 was revealed to the world this was the most advanced robot in the 90s. The P2 is the predecir to P1. The P1 was built until 1993 it was their first attempt at a humanoid robot that was self-standing robot. The P1 was great for when it was fully developed and was one of the most advanced humanoid robot around. The P1 weight about 175 kg and stood at a 191.5 cm. The P2 improved at some things and went down at others for example the P1 weight 175kg but the P2 weight 210kg. The P2 was better than the p1 when it came to height of 182cm which could help with the balancing problem because there would be less for gravity to push down.

The P2 robot is a robot because he has all of the specifications that are needed in order to be a robot. The P2 robot is part of the p-series, a chronological progression of human type robots, only prototypes. The P2, built in 1996, is the second of 4 prototypes. The P2 was the heaviest prototype and the prototype with the most depth of any of the 3 others. Although the P1 is the tallest robot the P2 is 9.5cm smaller than the P1. The P2 has a human shaped frontal view, but really the P2 has a huge box on the back that looks like a hikers backpack. This compartment is where the brain that the more important pieces to the robot are. The robot has many sensors all over the body as well as cameras in the head of the humanoid structure of the body. The P2 is a great beginning to the p- series robots created by honda.
