Environmental Science examines the mutual relationships between organisms and their environment. In studying the interrelationships among plants, animals, and humans, these courses usually cover the following subjects: photosynthesis, recycling & regeneration, ecosystems, population & growth studies, pollution, & conservation of natural resources. The course is designed to develop student awareness of environmental problems both natural and human-made. Environmental science is interdisciplinary & embraces a wide variety of topics from different areas of study including; ecology, world population, natural resources, climate change, endangered species, water rights & conservation. Lab activities are used to support student learning throughout the year.
