DRHS BEST Robotics Team - students chose not to compete this year so that they could focus on preparing for the FIRST Robotics Competition. Fall 2019
DHRS made a good showing at the Front Range BEST Robotics competition Saturday 10/21/17. Eight team members participated and about 24 students along with Mr. Dougherty and Mr. Jelenik attended to support the team. The team missed their first seeding round because of a software error (one letter not capitalized) but then successfully ran in all of the other rounds. Their robot's claw/hook mechanism was able to rescue "Mannie" and move several cans to safety. The team ended up in 11th place out of 20 team. Not bad for our small rookie(ish) robotics team. We look forward to greater things in the years to come.
BEST Robotics will be of the competition teams supported by the Dakota Ridge High Schools Engineering Student Association (ESA).
