Solid Toolbar - This is menu of command allows to to make, modify and assemble solid objects. Tabs divide each section of the toolbar in to groups (Create, Modify, Assemble, & Construct). Below that are Contextual Tabs that only display the tools that are relevant to your current state.
Only some of the commands in the menu are displayed on the toolbar.
The letters next to commands are the quick key shortcut to opening the function. Press E for extrude or H for hole.
Extrude
Below are examples showing the many options available in the Extrude command.
Extrude the selected profile (square) up 2.5" to create a new body.
Extrude the selected profile (small square) down 1" to cut away material from the existing solid body.
Extrude the selected profile (left side of the object) 1" out and tapper this section at a 20 degree angle and join it to the existing body.
For the selected profile (triangle), offset up 1.5" above the sketch and then extrude up .60" with a 20 degree tapper to create a new body.
Extrude the selected profile (circle) up until it is equal height as the existing box.
Extrude the selected profile (square) symmetrically (up and down) 1.25" to create a new body.
Extrude the selected profile (circle) all the way down to cut away material to make a hole all the way through the object.
Revolve
Below are examples of the many options available in the Revolve command. As shown above with Extrude, Revolve can be used to make a new body, join to an existing body, or cut away from an existing body.
Revolve (rotate) the selected profile (circle) around the selected axis (front edge of the square) 120 degrees to create a new body.
Revolve (rotate) the selected profile (circle) both up and down symmetrically 60 degrees to create a new body.
Revolve (rotate) the selected profile (circle) up 90 degrees about the selected axis (front bottom corner of the box) to join this elbow to the existing box.
Revolve (rotate) the selected profile (circle) around the selected axis (back bottom corner of the box) to cut away material from the box to make a curving hole through it.
Sweep
Below is an example of the options in the Sweep command.
Sweep the selected profile (circle) along the path (drawing in a separate sketch) to create a new solid body. This is the first command shown that requires 2 sketches.
Offset Plane
Below is an example of creating a plane as specific distance away from an existing plane or surface. Offset Plane is found under the Construct pull down menu.
Create a new plane 2.5" above the plane where the square is sketched. This new plane can be used to make another sketch. This is important in the next command, Loft.
Loft
Below is an example of the Loft command creating a new solid body morphing one shape (square) into another (circle). The square and circle are located in 2 different sketches.
Create a new solid body by connecting one profile (square) to another profile (circle) while creating a smooth transistion from one shape to the other.
