Robots that can be bought to do work in people's homes like cleaning, cooking, and yard work.

Home Robots

Domestic in-home robots are machines with computers that can be programmed to do household assignments. These robots could assist with those with disabilities or the elderly, or relieve the task of labor for others. Some of the first domestic robots were HERO, an educational robot sold by Heathkit in the 1980’s, and Topo, another education oriented robot made in the 1980’s. Domestic robots today are fairly common, as 20 percent of the worldwide vacuum market is taken up by home-cleaning robots such as Roomba.
An example of a Domestic robot is the Honda Miimo, a robotic lawn mower. This domestic robot mows your lawn for you, at any time of the day, supposedly very quietly as it runs off of electricity, not gas. The Miimo uses sensors to figure out where the edge of your lawn is, as well as a floating cover to detect obstacles. The Miimo can be set to a seasonal timer, allowing it to adjust its cutting height on its own to the growth rate of the grass at any time of the year. The Miimo qualifies as a robot, as it has a body, its brain is the computer controlling its movements and programs, it has 360 degree sensors, actuators to allow it to move around the yard its in, a program to know where to cut, when to gut, and how far to cut, and its behavior is cutting grass.
I personally think I might be able to use this robot and other domestic robots at some point in my life. However, currently I cannot, as domestic robots are incredibly expensive, even including the cheaper options, such as Roombas, going for $1000 USD. Domestic robots are our future though, and I think that eventually, one day, the majority of people in the U.S will own one.

Home Robots

Domestic (home) robots are robots that can do chores inside or outside the house. Though, you might need a couple of them because they all perform different tasks. The idea of a domestic robot first came up in 1495 by Leanardo da Vinci who thought about trying to create a humanoid robot. The first robot was invented in 1921. The first robot, Unimate, was shown to the public in a General Motors automobile factory. Domestic robots are becoming more common in today’s world.
A well known robot, the Roomba, is a cleaning robot for the floors in your house. This robot vacuums up the floors in your home. This robot uses a suction system to clean up the debris off the floor. This robot is programmed to go to its charger when its close to having no charge at all which is a really impressive feature I would get this robot and use it because it saves people time. This is not a cheap robot, but in my opinion it really would be worth it. It uses sensors to determine where to clean.
Robots like Roomba are going to be in our future to help with things like grocery shopping, being chefs and doing many other daily activities. Robots will perform tasks that we see as chores. They tend to do repetitive tasks. Most of the robots we have today are environment friendly. As robots become more common, they will become more financially affordable to the public and more widely used.
