Movie:Real Steel
The movie Real Steel(2011) takes place in the near future. Boxing is not a men sport anymore but instead of remote controlled robots. In the movie Atom is found damaged in a junkyard. He gets repaired and starts to fight for the championship.
Atom:
Body:
His body is built to resemble a real boxer,
He has two arms, two legs and a head. The
body is very resistant and protective so he can survive the punches thrown at him.
Brain:
Atom is controlled but also shows a mind of his
own, he receives the information from the
Controller and its voice control. The brain processes the information and makes him perform the action
Sensors:
His sensors resemble eyes and can be seen as blue dots in his face. They can sense the environment.
Actuators:
He can move like a human and jump and sprint. His arms are very strong to perform strong punches.
Program:
Atom is programed to follow the instructions that were given to him by the controller.
Behavior:
He is built like a box robot and acts like one. In the ring he “dances” around the opponent, and tries to get up when he gets knocked down.
The creator of Atom thought about how the future would be. As robot fighting is already a thing today it’s not that unlikely that the robot fights in this movie will be possible in the future
