Freddy II not to be confused with a horror game is an assembly robot. It is given parts on a large table and can move the table and itself around to put parts in certain places. But it also has many tools it can drill it can draw and it can probably do more. The crayon date is 1973-1976. It's pretty impressive for being built in the 70s. The people that built it where from the department of machine intelligence and perception. The robot build model cars and boats but didn't seem to do to much else.

Freddy II was a big innovation to the robotics industry in the 70s. Feddy mark I was a less intelligent than the mark II. freddy mark I had bumper sensors with 3 degrees-of-freedom because of a rotating platform. Unlike freddy I, mark II had a 5 degrees also he had a large vertical hand tha could move up and down. The overseer was Donald Michie the electronics were designed and built by Stephen salter. Freddy II was a versatile and he could reprogrammed to learn new task that could even take up to two days to finish this included building model cars or putting rings on wooden pegs. Freddy II wasn't just innovation robotics but also industry we can see an example of a robot that resembles freddy.

This is freddy II you can tell that this robot is

he was not meant to used for lifting heavy objects

Be used like the red and building stuff.

Robot.

Freddy was a robot with its own A.I. which means that he could learn like a human. POP-2 was the first functional program. they added a video camera so that it could do projects easier. A computer moved the platform so that the camera could see and then recognise the objects. I think that freddy II is one of the biggest innovation to the robotics industry.
