We have books on order set NOT to display in Primo.
This is for two reasons:
1. It is consistent with the display of e-resources, which do not display in Primo until they are activated.
2. It prevents patrons from placing holds on books on order.
When a hold is placed for a book on order, if the POL has an "Interested User" on it, the person who placed the hold will jump the Interested User in line for the book.
Also, Interlibrary Loan receives these Requests that are not immediately filled and attempts to fill them as ILLs.
Subject selectors who wish to know if we have a book should search Alma.
Note: This procedure hides item records, but the bibliographic metadata for the book is still published to Primo.
