Alma-OVID integration profile for KBART Automation

Alma will connect to OVID and automatically update subscriber entitlements in Alma on a weekly or monthly basis using KBART Automation.

1. Get User name, Password, and Ovid group name from OVID

Contact support@ovid.com.

Test the credentials they have provided per the instructions.

2. Activate appropriate collections in Alma CZ.

Journals@Ovid Complete (Community Zone Collection ID = 61129918300002396)

Books@Ovid Purchase Complete (Community Zone Collection ID = 613860000000000549)

Books@Ovid Subscription Complete (Community Zone Collection ID = ?) [do not select; we do not have any OVID e-book subscriptions]

[If there are portfolios in the KB collection, do NOT activate them. Check "Activate this electronic collection service" and check "Make service available" but do NOT check "Automatically activate new portfolios." Choose Manual activation.]

3. Configure Alma-OVID integration

Alma Configuration => General => External Systems => Integration Profiles

Add Integration Profile

Integration Type: Upload Electronic Holdings

Provider: Ovid

Description: For KBART Automation of journals and books with OVID

Next

Select the Active radio button.

Enter the user name, password, and Ovid group account information that you received from Ovid.

File format: KBART

Schedule: On the 01 of every month at 07:00

Save and Run Now

4. Check to see that job ran successfully

General Configuration => Configuration Menu => External Systems => Integration Profiles

OVID: Actions => Job History

To view original KBART file that Alma processed

General Configuration => Configuration Menu => External Systems => Integration Profiles

OVID: Actions => Job History

Locate latest job on list and choose "View" from right-hand menu.

Click to download "Serial input file" in xls format.
