Alma will connect to ProQuest Ebook Central and automatically activate ProQuest Ebook Central titles (owned, DDA titles, and subscription titles).
Each portfolio will also include an indication of the ProQuest Ebook Central purchase model (Owned, DDA, and Subscription), including the subscription electronic collection names.
1. Contact ProQuest Ebook Central Support
Contact Ebook Support through the ProQuest Support Center to ask that automated holdings for Alma be enabled in Ebook Central.
You need to provide your Ebook Central site ID [uri] and specify what types of titles you want sent to Alma (subscription, owned, and/or DDA) [requested all].
Done and confirmed 10/29/2020.
2. Activate appropriate collections in Alma CZ.
Activate the Community Zone electronic collection "Ebook Central Perpetual Subscription & DDA Titles".
(If you already have the Ebook Central Perpetual Subscription & DDA Titles collection activated, the Upload Electronic Holdings from ProQuest Ebook Central process updates the existing portfolios preserving the local portfolio information such as PO line, licenses, notes, and so forth.)
3. Create an integration profile.
Alma Configuration => General => External Systems => Integration Profiles
Add Integration Profile
Integration Type: Upload Electronic Holdings
CODE: PROQUEST_EBOOK_CENTRAL
Provider: ProQuest Ebook Central
Description: For uploading purchased and subscribed ebook holdings to Alma from ProQuest Ebook Central on a daily basis.
Next
Select the Active radio button.
Ebook-Central site ID: uri
Schedule: Every Day at 12:30
Save and Run Now
4. Check to see that job ran successfully
General Configuration => Configuration Menu => External Systems => Integration Profiles
