• What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

It means perseverance and hope for the future. The journey I began long ago was not easy as many other first generation college grads know, but it is a journey I would not trade for anything else in the world because I would not be person I am today without it.

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

When I returned to school after a hiatus most people do not come back to finish their bachelor's and I did it.

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

My small family in San Diego thank you for all your support. My friends and coworkers thank you for the motivation I needed along the way.

• Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

Everyone I had the pleasure to meet and learn from. From the TA's, professors, and all the various counselors: thank you all.

• What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

I plan to work for a while and then launch my own business after this.
