Being a First-Generation College Graduate means to me having the opportunity of a higher education, this is a great opportunity that my parents didn't have, and that with hard work I have been able to accomplish.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
My proudest moment from my time at UCSD is overall obtaining good grades in my classes while also working. This made me realize that I was properly managing my time, and that I am a strong, capable Latina.
Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
My family without a doubt has pushed me to always try my best and not give up. Thanks to them, I have come this far and I really appreciate all their support. Los Quiero Mucho! Also, I want to thank all my friends and roommates that made the difficult times more bearable and without a doubt memorable!
What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?
I plan to get my teaching credentials and become a teacher in the same high school I attended, so I can encourage students to further their education, and be proof that it can be done.
