• What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

Being a First-Generation College Graduate means a lot more to me than I can express. I'm able to give my family something to be proud of and something that's not replaceable. It's just as much my family's diploma as it is mine because I wouldn't here if it wasn't for them.

I'm able to start a legacy to my younger family members and hopefully inspire them to reach for more and know that there are no limitations irregardless of where we come from.

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

My proudest moment from my time of UCSD was being to hold my full-time job and do exceptional in my classes.

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

My family has supported me immensely throughout my college journey, but especially my mom. My mom has shown me what hard work and work ethic is, I wouldn't be half the woman and student I am today if it wasn't for her. She's helped shown me the importance of working for everything you have, which is why I'm proud to be today because I know I earned it all.

• Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

The people at UCSD that have been the most influential throughout my college journey has been my sisters of Sigma Pi Alpha. I was inspired by the amazing women around me, which only helped to motivate me and I'm forever grateful.

• What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

After graduation, I plan to take some time off to study for the LSAT and apply for my dream law school.
