Being a First-Generation College Graduate means representing my culture and family in new capacities, amplifying diversity and creating equity for others.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
My proudest moment was self recognition of personal development and application of academics outside the classroom.
Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
To my mom, dad, and sisters; thank you for always encouraging and supporting me! Love you.
Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
To the Faculty of the Speculative Design department, thank you for challenging me to think about the past, present, and especially— future of our world; for showing me the tools needed to think critically about its systems and design change.
What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?
I plan on getting involved with city planning and design to bring positive change to my community and others like it.
