What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?
I saw the violence and intimidation that the Taliban leadership brought to Afghanistan. They are notorious for forbidding women and girls from receiving formal education At a young age I believe “human rights” and “gender equality “are values and ideals that many people take for granted. Because of my own experience I have come to understand these values and have a strong desire to ensure that all people, especially women and girls, will be guaranteed these unalienable rights. Being a "First Generation College Graduate" means a big milestone that I accomplished, I initiate a road map for all my siblings who follow my path to be successful in their lives.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
I have been a student at UCSD for three years all this time I spent at UCSD was the proudest moment to me, to be a UCSD student but the most, the "proudest moment" at UCSD is my graduation day.
