What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?
It means a lot because I'm finally not only reaching my goals, but my parents' as well.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
My proudest moment at UCSD is when I begin addressing matters and interact in my classes without being shy or being scared of saying my thoughts. Also, when I start attending office hours.
Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
My lovely fiance and my amazing parents have stood by me and supported me in both positive and negative situations. They were the ones who gave the energy and power to continue. I would like to dedicate my success to them. Without them, I wouldn't have continued in school. It was hard for me to carry someone's else dream with mine and make it real.
Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
My OASIS mentors were very helpful. The writing hub center tutors were trying their best in helping everyone. I would like to thank them a lot for their hard work.
What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?
Planning to go to law school. If not, try to find a job to save money for grad school and try applying to grad school or master's degree.
