  • What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

It means that all of my parents hard work was for something important. I was able to break the cycle and obtain higher education. Now so many doors are open to me and I couldn’t be more grateful.

  • What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

My proudest moment was successfully completing BIPN 105, Animal Physiology lab. It was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken and I put so much work into it. All of the hard work definitely paid off!

  • Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

Without the support of my parents, grandparents, and most of my family I am not sure I would have made it through all the hard work and stress. Thank you to my family and friends for pushing me to be my best and picking me up when things got rough! Thank you for always believing in me!

  • What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

After graduating I hope to get my secondary teaching credential in science and eventually my masters degree in Education.
