  • What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

Being a first-gen means breaking barriers previously set by others and redefining boundaries of what success looks like. It means being a role model and demonstrating that anyone can be successful in chasing after their dreams so long as they do not give up.

  • What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

Finding my passion within public health and committing to improving the health of the communities I work with.

  • Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

Shoutout to my friends and family for the amazing support system that you have provided me throughout my four years at college. I would not be here without your prayers, your encouragements, and the wisdom that you all have provided me! You are all amazing, and I cannot be more thankful for every single last one of you. I love you all so much!

  • Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

To Dr. Reddy, thank you for being one of my favorite professors and for opening a door in allowing me to see the necessary collaboration between primary care and public health. To Emily Louie & Cat Lettieri, thank you for being my academic mother figures and for helping me find my passion within the public health field; thank you for the encouragements and opportunities you have provided for me to be the well-rounded academic scholar that I am today. Last but not least, thank you InterVarsity for being the community I needed to constantly remind me of grounding myself in Jesus as I continue to walk in purpose.

  • What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

Short-term: pursue MPH & continue to work in the public health field; Long-term: become a primary care physician
