• What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

Being a first-gen college graduate means overcoming the struggles that my parents faced and taking their sacrifice and making something of ourselves.

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

My proudest moment at UCSD was getting my double major application approved. Learning that I was able to graduate in three years with a double major was an unexpected but very happy moment for me.

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

My parents, my sister, and my boyfriend have been the most influential in my college career and have inspired me to be a better student and a better person along the way.

• What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

I will be teaching in the San Diego area.

• ¿Qué significa para ti obtener tu título universitario como graduado de primera generación?

El ser la primera en mi familia en graduarse de la universidad quiere decir superar los obstáculos que mis padres enfrentaron y usar sus sacrificios para hacer algo de nuestras vidas.

• ¿Cual es el momento de mayor orgullo durante tu tiempo en UCSD?

Mi momento de más orgullo en UCSD fue el que aceptaran mi solicitud para una doble carrera. Saber que pude graduarme en tres años con una doble carrera fue un momento inesperado pero muy feliz para mí.

• ¿Quiénes son los miembros de tu familia, amigos o seres queridos que han sido más influyentes a lo largo de tu carrera universitaria? ¿Hay algunas palabras de agradecimiento que deseas compartir con ellos?

Mis padres, mi hermana y mi novio han sido las personas que más han influido en mi carrera universitaria y quienes me han inspirado a ser mejor estudiante y mejor persona.
