What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?
To me, being a First-Gen student meant being a representative of my last name and role model to the younger generations of my family.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
I was really proud of myself when I was hired as a Student Graphic Intern at Sixth College. I really thought I was unqualified but I pushed through the application process and proved to myself that I can go down this career path.
Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
I want to thank my parents for allowing me to do what I wish to do, accepting me for who I am, and encouraging me to pursue my dreams fearlessly. Without them, I would not get to where I am today.
Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
I want to thank Jessica Rapport and Elaine Scott for supporting me and my time at Sixth College. Thanks for encouraging and giving me opportunities to showcase my art.
What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?
I hope to find a job sooner or later related to graphics and art. In the meantime, I hope to improve my portfolio, draw more, and work more on my Webtoon comic "In Our Days."
