Grilled Cheese Panini with Avocado & Prosciutto
- fresh mozzarella
- tomato slices
- paper-thin slices of prosciutto di Parma
- avocado slices
- thick crusty bread or rolls (like ciabatta)
- pesto
-Place your fillings into the roll in any order you like, but keep cheese on the bottom and then again toward the top because it will glue everything together.
-After assembling your sandwich, place into a panini press OR a frying pan (buttered, if desired) over
low/medium heat. If using a frying pan, you can press the sandwich by placing a weight (such as a smaller pan
or lid) on top.
-Flip the sandwich when the bottom layer of cheese begins to melt and the underside of the roll is crispy. Grill
until the second layer of cheese melts and the other side of the roll is crispy.
