Note: It is easiest to buy packaged bacon that is already precooked. IF you
decide to precook your own bacon, do not allow it to become too crispy,
as it needs to continue to cook in the microwave along with the beans.
-To toast the almonds: place the almonds on a foil-lined baking sheet. Place
the baking sheet into your (unheated) oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
fahrenheit. When the oven reaches the desired temperature, the almonds will
be done. Turn off your oven and remove the almonds from the baking sheet to
cool.
-Place the green beans into a microwave-safe dish.
-Sprinkle the chopped precooked bacon on top.
-Microwave on HIGH for 90 seconds.
-Remove from the microwave. Stir. Microwave an additional 90 seconds (beans
should be thoroughly heated, barely tender and still crisp).
-Serve with the toasted almonds sprinkled on top.
