Wallgreens Challenge
Assignment: Work with Mrs. Riemer to create a video or compelling story about the issue of substance abuse that effects our community. You will work with her, and other leaders in our community, to use your voice to express your visual story.
Due: Up to a 3 minute video that will clearly share your voice through creative video storytelling.
Goal: For you to share your thoughts and story with the LF/LF community on an issue people don't want to talk about. You will work on your ability to craft your unique perspective into a compelling message that will resonate with the public in our community and others.
Tuesday October 11- Ideation, go over the stats of substance abuse in our community and work towards refining your unique idea.
Friday October 14- Ideation through a reflection in your Google Site under a new page- "Wallgreens Expression Challenge"
Please answer these questions:
1. What are the top 3 biggest social challenges that YOU think currently facing LFHS, and why.
2. For each of those three, what are the typical media approaches (PSAs, print, Ads) that you've seen? Link examples for each
3. How could you approach your top two you wrote down differently?
Monday October 17- Finish up the Ideation from Friday and begin working on creating a Topic-Pitch-Proposal for Wednesday
Tuesday October 18- finalize ideation for Pitch-Proposal
Wednesday/Thursday October 19-20- Give your Pitch-Proposal in class
Friday October 21- Media Literacy Day- Ideation with Lain Kienzle
Monday October 24- Create Production Schedule (Google Calendar) and Script for shooting
Tuesday October 25- Develop Script
Wednesday/Thursday Oct 26-27- Rough Cut critique of the script with Mr. Douglass
Friday October 28- Develop Shot list
Monday October 31- Production Day
Tuesday November 1- Production Day
Wednesday November 2- Production Day
Monday November 7- Editing
Tuesday November 8- Editing
Wednesday-Thursday November 9/10- Rough Draft Peer Critique in class
Friday November 11- editing/Intro final project
