Commercial Project- Fall 2013
Assignment: Create a creative appeal on behalf of a product, local business or something you make up. You can use a comedic or serious approach as an individual or a group. Take advantage of the Talent Show, or a local business, around the corner.
Due: 30 second to 1 minute video that tells a story that connects with our local audience.
Goal: To learn how to create a compelling, quick and targeted message for your specific, local audience. To experiment with New Media mediums which can provide targeted impact with compelling messages. Have fun with the green screen, friends and Final Cut Pro for a final project
Monday November 18- Introduce the project through hearing from TA's experiences and the specific goals of the project,
brainstorm ideas
Tuesday November 19- Watch through examples and brainstorm ideas
Wednesday November 20- Introduce how to Topic/Pitch/Propose and then Critique 5 videos from the CTEC Commerical Entries in Google Sites then work on TPP
Thursday November 21- listen to possible songs to understand the possible visual story and working on TPP for Friday with TA
Friday November 22- deliver Topic/Pitch/Proposal in class to the camera and continue to develop ideas
Monday November 25- Revise TPP, bring music into FCP- cut it down and begin scripting on Scripped.com
Tuesday November 26- Develop Production Schedule and Music Video Script in class
Monday December 2- Work on Scripped.com to finish up the script
Tuesday December 3- In-Class script critique on Scripped.com
Wednesday December 4- Short Day- begin working on Shot Sheet based off completed Music Video Script

Thursday December 5- finish up shot sheet--Finalize all Pre-Production before shooting
Friday December 6- Media Literacy Day
Monday December 9- Wednesday December 12 Shooting video
Thursday December 13- Rough Cut Critique- 30% in the timeline

Monday December 16- Post Production editing
Tuesday December 17- editing
