Telecom- New Media Production Advanced Project
Assignment: Take inspiration from Daniel Burhnam’s plan for Chicago to tell an interesting story found in our LFHS community. Explore a person or activity that you want to share with the world through Google Earth and tell their unique story in a creative visual manner.
Goal: To research and develop your story idea by interviewing the people who make up the history around you. Then create a comprehensive explanation of your individual or activity while being efficient with your time and audience’s sensibilities
Due: A 5-10 minutes final production that includes at least 5 interviews, 3 different locations and a well lit 4 camera interview shoot in the studio that you will direct and someone else will conduct.
Pre- Production Process:
Tuesday December 9- Introduce the project, brainstorm ideas and show examples of previous projects
Wednesday December 10- watch more projects and work on Topic/Pitch/Proposal
Thursday December 11- Talk about project ideas and hear from Mrs. O’Hara about potential ideas that can be found around the community
Friday December 12- TPP due for pitch in class
Monday December 15- Work on Script Outline in class
Tuesday December 16- Work on Script Outline in class
Wednesday December 17- Finish Script Outline on sites for critique
Thursday December 18- Work on Production Schedule in class
Friday December 19- Finalize Production Schedule before break

Production week
Monday January 5- Shoot initial interview to begin to put your story together-
Tuesday January 6- log and import your first interview and begin to tweak script outline
Wednesday January 7- collect and import interviews and b-roll
Thursday January 8- Production work based on Production Schedule
Friday January 9- ROUGH CUT CRITIQUE
Post- Production Process:
Monday January 12- production based on production schedule
Tuesday January 13- ROUGH DRAFT PEER CRITIQUE
Wednesday January 14- ROUGH DRAFT PEER CRITIQUE
Thursday January 15- editing
Friday January 16 Final Project Due at the end of class to the web and DVD
