CP Trailer Re-Cut Project-

Assignment: Take a familiar movie and cut together a trailer that tells a different story than what is expected.
Due: A 1-2 minute trailer, with a great soundtrack that makes people think, laugh or cry.
Goal: Have fun editing together a trailer that tells a unique story. Learning the specific storytelling process quality trailers use to tell a specific story to motivate an audience to watch the full feature.
Pre-Production
Tuesday October 8- Introduce project idea
Thursday October 10- Brainstorm ideas, watch through examples-
Friday October 11- continue idea development in class and select movie to study over the weekend
Monday October 14- Off
Tuesday October 15- Watch through DVD and log key scenes
Wednesday October 16- Watch through DVD and log key scenes
Thursday October 17- Arrange scenes and ideas based on concept
Friday October 18- Arrange scenes and ideas based on concept
Monday October 21- Edit down scenes and dialogue - Thursday October 24
Friday October 25- Rough Cut critique with Mr. Douglass
Monday October 28- Thursday October 31st- editing
Tuesday November 5- Rough Draft Peer Critique
Thursday November 13- Final Draft due to server in DMT format
