Assignment: Take advantage of new portable HD technology and put together 2 meaningful 1-2 minute videos that utilize the quickness, versatility and ease of the Flip camera. Your ideas CAN’T change after the TPP as your Pitch will be the lead in to your project.
Due: Produce 2 different videos. One will be of journalistic significance (who, what, where, when, why) to our school community and the second can be an event, class discussion (with their permission), cross-curricular project-you have options- let the technology lead.
Goal: To learn how to tell a story quickly and efficiently with technology that works for you, but you need to make it work FOR YOU by collecting quality video and AUDIO.
Pre- Production Process:
Monday October 5- Self-Critique in Google Sites, Critique other projects Tuesday October 6- Intro project and watch through examples
Wednesday October 7- Development of idea
Thursday October 8- TPP development in class
Friday October 9- typed Topic/Pitch/Proposal due for critique
Tuesday October 13- Learning how to use the Studio/Green Screen
Wednesday October 14- Organizing Production Schedule
Thursday October 15- Creating Script or Researching Event
Friday October 16- Finalizing of all Pre-Production including location pictures
Production Process:
Monday- Thursday October 19-22 =Production Week
Friday October 23- Rough Cut Critique
Post- Production Process:
Monday October 26- Post-Production Editing
Tuesday October 27- Post- Production Editing
Wednesday October 28- Post- Production Editing
Thursday October 29- Rough Draft Peer Critique
Friday October 30- In-Class final critique
Monday November 2- Post Production editing
Tuesday November 3- Final Draft due by the end of the day
