This unit focused on equipping me with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in Competency Based Assessment within the TVET system. The unit emphasized assessment as a continuous and evidence-based process aimed at determining learnersโ ability to perform tasks to the required standards. Through this unit, I learned how to design, administer, and evaluate assessments that measure demonstrated competence rather than theoretical understanding alone. I also developed skills in assessment planning, evidence collection, judgement making, and feedback provision in line with KTTC and CBET requirements. The unit strengthened my ability to uphold fairness, validity, reliability, and transparency in assessment practices.
