Module 5 of Educational Psychology in TVET, titled “Concept of Personality Development,” focuses on understanding the traits, behaviors, and characteristics that make up an individual’s personality. Personality development is crucial for learners in technical and vocational settings because it affects how they interact with others, handle challenges, and perform in both academic and practical tasks. This module emphasizes the role of self-awareness, social skills, and personal growth in shaping a well-rounded learner.
Understanding personality development helps TVET trainers create a holistic learning environment. Learners who are guided to develop strong social skills, self-discipline, and confidence are more likely to succeed both academically and professionally. Reflecting on this, I realize that personality development is as important as technical skills because it shapes learners’ attitudes, motivation, and interactions in the workplace.
Module 5 emphasizes that personality development is a continuous process influenced by multiple factors. In TVET, fostering learners’ personal growth alongside technical skill acquisition ensures they become competent, confident, and socially responsible professionals. Trainers play a key role by providing guidance, support, and opportunities for learners to grow both personally and professionally.
