Topic 2: Health and Safety Regulations

This topic introduced the laws, policies, and institutional guidelines that govern health and safety in educational and workplace settings. I became familiar with national occupational health and safety acts, TVET Authority policies, and institutional regulations that ensure compliance and protection of workers’ rights.

Understanding these regulations has taught me to value both preventive and corrective safety measures. As a future trainer, I will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, reporting hazards, and maintaining safe learning environments in accordance with national standards.

The topic also highlighted the importance of safety audits, risk assessments, and regular inspections to ensure adherence to legal standards. As a future TVET trainer, I realized the need to integrate safety and health awareness into all training activities to foster a culture of safety among learners and staff.
