Ā ''My online journey proves that learning has no walls-through discipline, a timetable, andĀ the flexibility of technology, I discovered that growth is not confined to physical classrooms. Online learning has given me the discipline to manage my own pace, the confidence to explore new methods, and the opportunities to experience education without limits.'' -Wilrose Laken
My online training at KSTVET has been a period of deeper learning, self-discovery, and professional development. Building on the foundation from Module 1, this stage of my journey allowed me to explore a wide range of educational theories, training philosophies, and practical methodologies that are essential for becoming a competent Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) trainer.
The six units covered ;Flexible and Blended Learning, Essential Skills, TVET Philosophy, Education Psychology in TVET, Sociology of Education( Gender and Inclusivity), and Education Administration. Each addressed different but complementary aspects of training. Together, they helped me see how teaching is not only about delivering knowledge but also about inspiring learners, managing diversity, integrating technology, and ensuring effective administration within learning institutions.
This timetable outlines my Term 2 online learning schedule, covering all six units: Flexible and Blended Learning (7250), Essential Skills (7201), TVET Philosophy (7206), Educational Psychology in TVET (7202), Sociology of Education, Gender and Inclusivity (7204), and Education Administration (7205). It illustrates how I effectively managed my time between virtual classes, independent study, and continuous assessments. By following this plan, I was able to remain organized, attend online sessions punctually, and meet submission deadlines. This timetable also reflects my growth in time management, planning, and self-disciplineākey competencies in both academic success and professional TVET training practiceĀ
Following this timetable helped me balance my online learning responsibilities while adapting to flexible and blended modes of delivery. It strengthened my organizational skills and prepared me to manage future teaching schedules effectively as a trainer.Ā
This photo captures me actively participating in an online learning session during Term 2 of my training program. It represents my engagement in flexible and blended learning, where I attended virtual classes, contributed to discussions, and collaborated with peers using digital platforms such as Google Meet and Gnomio. Through these online sessions, I developed essential 21st-century competencies, including digital literacy, self-directed learning, time management, and effective virtual communication. The experience strengthened my ability to adapt to new learning technologies and to manage both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) learning activities. As a future TVET trainer, this has prepared me to facilitate learning in diverse digital environments while promoting inclusivity, participation, and learner engagement in online settings.Ā
This image symbolizes my growth as a reflective and adaptable trainee, capable of integrating digital tools in teaching and learning. It also highlights my commitment to continuous professional development in an evolving TVET landscape.Ā
