Human growth and development refer to the progressive changes that occur in individuals from conception to maturity. These changes involve physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of a person’s life. Understanding these principles helps educators and trainers recognize the stages learners go through, their needs at each level, and how to support their holistic development.
As a future TVET trainer, studying human growth and development enables me to apply suitable teaching methods that match the learners’ maturity levels and capabilities. It also guides me in promoting positive behavior, motivation, and effective classroom management.
