This topic introduced the principles of interpersonal communication β the process of sharing information, thoughts, and emotions between individuals. I learned that effective communication involves not only speaking clearly but also listening actively, maintaining eye contact, and interpreting non-verbal cues.
We explored barriers to effective communication such as bias, assumptions, and poor listening, and discussed strategies for overcoming them. Through practical exercises and class discussions, I improved my ability to express ideas confidently and empathetically, which is essential when interacting with colleagues and learners in a classroom or institutional setting.
