CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 7 (2025)
A RESOLUTION GOVERNING EMT COMPENSATION & EMT Call-Out Rates
Be it resolved that: The City Council approves on-call pay for EMT’s on their shift from the hours of 9:00pm though 3:00am, Sunday through Thursday; AND
Be it resolved that: The wage approved for on-call shifts is to be set at $3.00 an hour for no more than 2 EMT’s and 1 driver on said shifts. If any call-out is missed or not responded to by any one of the EMT’s or drivers on the specified shift, that one EMT or driver forfeits all due on-call wages for said shift.
Be it resolved that: the following Ambulance Fee Schedule shall be applied and hereby is established: Ambulance Service Fee Schedule.

Be it resolved that: Special event rates may be negotiated between an event organizer and the City of Elgin to include the proposed special event rate per hour as well as additional compensation for EMT’s and drivers engaged to provide services under a contract. A contract must be approved by the Elgin City Council.
Be it resolved that: This resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution 1393 and Resolution 18 (2022).
