24-17 Unanticipated Funds

CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 24 (2017)

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING UNANTICIPATED GRANT MONEY INTO THE 2017/2018 BUDGET.

WHEREAS: The City of Elgin applied for multiple grants after the start of the 2017-2018 budget year in support of multiple projects; AND

WHEREAS: The City of Elgin Budget Officer and Budget Committee did not anticipate receiving funds from these grants, thus, did not budget to receive them; AND

WHEREAS: The grants to be received are as follows:

•  USDA WEP Grant $30,000

• Business Oregon Technical Assistance Grant $20,000

•  Department of Land Conservation Planning Assistance Grant $1,000

• Oregon Department of Transportation Small Cities Special Allotment Grant $50,000

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Elgin City Council hereby authorizes the Budget Officer/City Administrator to add these monies from said grants to the 2017/2018 City of Elgin Budget.
