CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 1361 (2015)

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE EMPLOYEE POLICY HANDBOOK PROVIDED BY CIS AND MODIFIED BY THE ELGIN CITY COUNCIL TO FIT THE CITY OF ELGIN'S NEEDS

WHEREAS: The City Council of Elgin, Oregon recognizes the existing employee policy handbook is severely outdated; AND

WHEREAS: The City Council of Elgin, Oregon wishes to provide employees and officials of the city a clear and concise policy handbook that is easy for them to understand and follow; AND

WHEREAS: The Elgin City Council has utilized the employee handbook provided by the cities insurance company, CIS, in order to provide rules and regulations for City employees and officials that would best coincide with the City of Elgin's insurance policies; AND

WHEREAS: The Elgin City Council and City Recorder/Administrator have made appropriate adjustments to the CIS employee policy handbook in order to ensure all policies and procedures the City of Elgin feels its employees and officials must follow are included in the handbook.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The City Council of the City of Elgin accept the employee policy handbook provided by CIS and modified by the Elgin City Council to fit the City of Elgin's needs as the official employee policy handbook for the City of Elgin and any changes that need to be made to this handbook in the future may only be done so by resolution.
