CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 23 (2024)
THANKSGIVING PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS: The fourth Thursday of November has been designated as the Thanksgiving holiday by an act of Congress since 1941, and
WHEREAS: The City of Elgin encourages all residents to celebrate the holiday of Thanksgiving, and
WHEREAS: The City of Elgin is served by various municipal officials and employees, and
WHEREAS: Several public officials who have served the Jewel of the Blue Mountains retire or complete their final full year in office in 2024, and
RESOLVED: The City of Elgin celebrates the contributions of all elected officials, committee members, and staff,
RESOLVED: The City of Elgin thanks the following public servants for their service in government:
Elgin City Councilor Steve Gresham, term ending January 2025
Elgin City Administrator Emeritus Brock Eckstein, retired June 2024
Elgin Clerk 2 Terri Moore
Elgin Library Advisory Board Member Gail Pope, In Memoriam October 2024
Elgin School Districts Superintendent Diane Greif, retired 2024
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of November 2024.
