1226 Ambulance Purchase

CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 1226 (2007)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING A LEASE PURCHASE CONTRACT

WHEREAS: The City of Elgin, has contracted with Pacific Emergency Vehicles, Inc. to purchase a Medtec Type I walk through ambulance, and;

WHEREAS: The City of Elgin, wishes to enter into a lease to purchase agreement with Oshkosh Capital to finance $40,000 of the purchase price of $127,705, and;

WHEREAS: The City’s legal council has provided a positive opinion regarding the City’s ability to enter into this agreement;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby accepts the offer of Oshkosh Capital to provide a lease to purchase in the amount of $40,000 to finance, in part, the purchase of a Medtec ambulance as described above, and;

The City Council of the City of Elgin hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign the documents required to enter into the lease purchase agreement with Oshkosh Capital, as shown in the offer, a copy of which is attached hereto.
