2-17 Vacation Carryover

CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 2 (2017)

A RESOLUTION AMENDING CARRY OVER VACATION IN THE CITY OF ELGIN PERSONNEL POLICY MANUEL [sic]

WHEREAS: The current policy does not allow for carry over vacation from year to year.

WHEREAS: the City of Elgin wanting to be fair and effective with its employees and the needs of the City elects to change the carry over vacation policy to:

40 hours may be carried over from year to year. The hours must be used in the following year. The cap for carry over vacation is 40 hours per year. This is to be applied consistently to all employees.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The City of Elgin amends the section stating "Vacation time is meant to be ..... and shall not be carried over into the next following year. Any unused vacation will be forfeited" to the above verbiage.
