CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 20 (2025)
ASUPPORT FOR THE CITY OF ELGIN'S APPLICATION FOR AN OREGON DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (ODOE) COMMUNITY RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM (C-REP) GRANT OF UP TO $1,000,000 FOR AN ENERGY RESILIENCY PROJECT AT THE ELGIN MUSEUM AND OTHER FACILITIES AND FUTURE PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS: Any charges arise from Summary Abatement of Debris and Noxious weeds and TaWHEREAS, City of Elgin is applying for Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) Community Renewable Energy Program (C-REP) funding for the Phase 4 construction of a solar and BESS system for the Elgin Museum; and
WHEREAS, City of Elgin is applying for a resilience construction grant for the City of Elgin on city-owned buildings; and
WHEREAS, City of Elgin Municipal Code, Title 2, Chapter 2, Section 4, Contract Review Board, allow City Council to conduct City procurement as allowed under State of Oregon law, including ODOE C-REP grant application and entering into a Performance Agreement; and
WHEREAS, City of Elgin supports application for ODOE C-REP grant consideration for Phase 4 construction for enhancing renewable energy infrastructure with a battery energy storage system (BESS) and microgrid controller at the Elgin Museum and supports entering into a future ODOE C-REP Performance Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Minutes of City Council passage of Resolution No. 20 (2025) will be approved July 8, 2025 and found at: https://cityofelginor.org/documents; and
RESOLVED: THE CITY OF ELGIN will complete and submit a grant application of $1,000,000 to ODOE C-REP with Alex McHaddad, City Administrator, as the authorized representative to submit the grant application and as the applicant contact.

WHEREAS: A Summary Abatement was declared by the City Administrator due to the hazardous situation created by the said nuisances and the imminent danger to any occupant(s) or public who may be in or around the property per under EMC 8.08.180;
RESOLVED: Elgin City Council directs City Administrator to abate nuisances and real property located at the above identified real property.Â
