CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON RESOLUTION 1362 (2015)
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE REVISED LIBRARY BEHAVIOR POLICY
WHEREAS: The City Council of Elgin, Oregon recognizes the existing behavior policy is severely outdated; AND
WHEREAS: The City Council of Elgin, Oregon wishes to provide citizens of the city a clear and concise behavior policy that is easy for them to understand and follow as well as employees clear and concise guidelines when dealing with issues that arise at the library; AND
WHEREAS: The Elgin City Council has utilized the behavior policy reviewed by the city’s insurance company, CIS, in order to provide rules and regulations for citizens that would best coincide with the City of Elgin’s insurance policies; AND
WHEREAS: The Elgin City Council and Librarian have made every effort to ensure all policies and procedures are included in the policy the City of Elgin feels its citizens must follow.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The City Council of the City of Elgin accepts the behavior policy reviewed by CIS and modified by the Elgin City Council and Librarian to fit the City of Elgin’s needs as the official library behavior policy for the City of Elgin and any changes that need to be made to this policy in the future may only be done so by resolution.
