She always said to walk in the light and make sure to have my phone in hand. I should have listened to my mother. But that night I didn't listen to her. I was walking in an alleyway; alone of course. I was never one to listen to anyone anyways. I never thought she would be right. I never thought I would end up here. Youn would think that growing up I would learn not to walk alone at dark or talk to strangers. Well, I guess I didn't learn until it was too late.
I was walking home from a friends house/ She asked me if I wanted a ride since it was dark but being me, I declined. I took a short way home that night. I had to go through the alleyway. I had heard something crash, well a someone. Someone was following me. I started to run, but I wasn't fast enough. The man picked me up and threw me over his shoulders. We were so close to the I tried to scream, but nothing came out. The man took me deeper into the alleyway. He took something I had saved. Saved for someone special. I cried. He finally stopped. He gave me an evil smirk and left me to ball my eyes out. I felt dirty. I felt disgusting.
The police later found me. My clothing was ripped to shreds. After they found me, they took me home. To a quiet house. No one to worry about me. I was disgusted with myself. To let some man do that to me. After that night, I was never the same. I was only seventeen at the time. Looking forward to life. But after that, I never saw life the same again.
