As the football season for 2017-2018 begins, most people like to make bets before the season even begins on the winners and losers of this years season. I interviewed multiple people from the student body and staff on their early picks to hoist up the Lombardi trophy.
I sat down with Varsity football players Justin Cizmar and Zach Coman on their opinions, in which they both stated the Pittsburgh Steelers will win it all because of their explosive offense. The Steelers were the most popular response I had today, but golfer Anthony Marsco and fellow Leopard’s Roar member Jason Ngo say the New England Patriots take their sixth title and put a sixth ring on the already diamond encrusted hands of Tom Brady, because he still uses them to throw the football down at other receivers, and he’s really, really good at it.
Mr. Diroll says that he likes the Oakland Raiders this year, and Marsco and Cizmar both have them as their second bet on the winners of Super Bowl 52. I personally think New England will win it all again and completely cement Tom Brady as the best player to have ever lived and played a single game of pigskin, and this is coming from a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Who do you think will stand tall over the other mighty and not so mighty 31 that stand in their way?
