The Liberty High School cheer squad is home to many talented athletes who cheer for the Liberty High School basketball and football team in addition to helping organize many school events and fundraisers.
The squad consists of both varsity and junior varsity members. On the varsity squad is captain and senior Tashja Pisano, senior Cari Boulton, senior Ke’Asia Wagner, senior Jamese Mitchell, senior Raven Clark, junior Jay’Lynne Armour, junior Nicole Patrone and junior Kylie Mowery. The junior varsity squad is composed of the captain and sophomore Rachel DeRenzis, junior Zareya Ransaw, freshman Alexa Henry, sophomore Tiana Gammon, sophomore Taylor Howard, sophomore Sara Ross, and sophomore Jurnee Terry.
In addition to their weekly performances at both football and basketball games, the cheerleading squad is responsible for personally funding themselves through an independently run car wash as well as hosting kiddie camp for the youth.
The young women on the squad are impressive in all aspects, with many maintaining high GPA’s, while under employment and or participating in other sports and activities. Their hard work and accomplishments are substantial and should not be overlooked.
