Nonviolence week is a week that a community stops and thinks about the need for people to think about the unacceptable amount of hatred and vicious acts to themselves and others. October 6th, 2019 has commenced the 9th annual nonviolence movement.
October 9th, will be our reception for winners of the art and poetry contests at the Soap Gallery, Youngstown. Beginning at 5pm ending at 7pm.
October 10th, the National recipient of Simeon Booker Award for Courage will be Dr. Harry Edwards. Local recipient of Simeon Booker Award for Courage will be Denise DeBartolo York. This event is co-sponsored by The Centofanti Charitable Foundation. The event will begin at 7pm.
October 11th, a movie screening “The Watsons Go to Birmingham” will be played at 10 am until 12 pm at the Youngstown YWCA.
October 12th, is the “Day of Action” Beginning at 9 am ending at 12 pm.
October 8th, you will be able to go to Barnes and Noble Nonviolence evening. Shops in the Park, Boardman. The event will begin at 4:30 pm ending at 7pm.
October 7th, “Mingle With Minni” at Flambeau’s Live on Market St. Starting off at 6 pm ending 9pm the cost: $20.
