Juniors From Jupiter!

The juniors’ float had the theme of space. They decorated Katelyn’s mom’s vehicle by adding two white trifolds, cut into the shape of wings, to the sides of the vehicle. There were red, orange, and yellow balloons taped around the back of the vehicle to represent fire, with streamers of the corresponding colors attached to the balloons. Katelyn had written on both back windows, one side listing names of the juniors who helped decorate the float, and the other side had “Juniors from Jupiter” written on it. There were some green balloons with alien faces drawn on them, which were put on the outside near the back of the vehicle. NASA symbols, which were drawn and painted by Raneem, Tina, and Maggie McKernan, were on the front doors. Some of the balloons were popping due to the heat of the sun while others fell off the vehicle during the drive to the parade. Three juniors riding in the trunk during the parade had on alien masks and were throwing out candy. The other juniors were throwing candy out of the backseat windows and the passenger side window, a few wearing green shirts. Katelyn’s mother was driving, and she wore an alien mask as well. The juniors who helped decorate the float are as follows: Samantha Baker, Katelyn Maniscalco, Raneem Al-sharif, Tina Collins, Madyson Bartlett, Maggie McKernan, Riley Brantley, and Alicia Milone.
